Discover Parks in North Herefordshire has presented ‘Kellys Heroes’ with its first donation of 2024 as it celebrates its Silver year of success at Pearl Lake in Shobdon.

Glenn and Hannah Jones are celebrating their silver anniversary of owning Pearl Lake this November.

From branching out from the core family business,  sleeping bags in reception, a courtship full of figures,  surviving Covid and constantly evolving - Glenn and Hannah reflect on the last 25 years.

An elongated summer of floral delights allows an extended celebration of brilliant park blooms.

A complete feast of colour on our fabulous park that can be appreciated by everyone.

For those of you who aren’t aware Alan Edwards from Stoke on Trent has been dangling his rod successfully in Pearl Lake for over a decade now.

PRESTEIGNE PARK WELCOMES WELSH ASSEMBLY MEMBER

Mental Health, Tourism Levy’s and a pavement into Presteigne were the discussion of the day on the Herefordshire/Welsh border this week when Welsh Assembly Member James Evans visiting Rockbridge Country Park.

It’s been four years in the making, involved numerous trials and tribulations along the way, but we are now very proud to announce that our long-awaited fishing pool is now officially open at our Arrow Bank Country Holiday Park.

It's safe to say our team have been very busy working on new developments and improvements from the stunning redesign of the golf course at Pearl lake to the introduction of some 'new pets' at Arrow Bank...

We know that the parks can mean something different to each of you. Sure, they all have a 5 Star rating, are clean and tidy etc. but we want to know what they mean to you emotionally?
If you could sum up, in one word, how being here makes you feel, what would your word be?
Family? Freedom? Happiness? Escape? Togetherness? The list can go on, but we want to hear your connection, your thoughts, your word. We believe that the words that you have are the secret to why the parks are so special.

Plans are afoot to cycle between the three parks - Arrow Bank, Pearl Lake and Rockbridge - not once, but 3 times!

One circuit is 25 miles and with careful planning and rest stops, Tony Ward (Pearl Lake B65) has set himself a target of 3 circuits - a grand total of 75 miles!

Aiming to complete the challenge one day this summer, Tony is riding to raise money for the Stroke Association and all donations are gratefully received. We will be collecting on the day, but Tony will also have a Just Giving page as well as accepting donations in person on park.

We have taken the 2021 David Bellamy ‘Blooming Marvellous’ Pledge!
We pledge to:

• Improve our existing habitats for wildlife.

• Create new wildlife habitats and features where possible.

• Manage our greenspace in as environmentally friendly way as possible.

• Involve everyone in wildlife conservation.

• Engage with local conservation bodies and projects.

As part of this we need to include records / photos / descriptions of what we have done / what we have planned to do... 
And this is where all you lovely people come in.
